4 Super Simple 10 Minute Meals

Are you looking for quick and easy meals, but you are not sure where to start? We have all tried to google simple recipes only to be met by a blog post featuring the author’s entire life story, only to finally reach the recipe and discover that the author’s idea of “simple” involves milking a goat and utilizing a rare and expensive blend of spices that you probably do not have in your pantry. For some quick ideas to help get you started, check out these four simple meals to kickstart your day:

1.      Ham, Cheese, and Spinach Omelet: An omelet makes for a great base upon which to build a meal, and a ham, cheese, and spinach omelet is a popular flavor combo. As an added bonus, all of these ingredients could be shredded with your fingers if you do not feel like pulling out a knife and cutting board. Will it be the prettiest omelet you have ever made? Maybe not, but it will get the job done!

2.      Scrambled Eggs and Toast: Another great option to start your day is with a dose of scrambled eggs (protein) on some whole wheat toast (carbohydrates for energy). Plus, much like an omelet, you can get creative with the scrambled eggs for some variety if you so choose to play with spices and flavor combos.

3.      Oatmeal with Berries: The best part about this one is if you set up your oats the night before for some overnight oats, half of the work is already done for you in the morning! All that is left is to add the berries of your choice, and boom! Breakfast is handled!

4.      Chicken and Spinach Tortilla Wrap: This might be viewed as more of a lunch option, but it is a great recipe to keep in your toolbox for those days when you might not have had time to meal prep for your day. Or, if you want to keep it to breakfast, you could always add some scrambled eggs. Additionally, wraps allow for a lot of variance and you can sub in arugula for the spinach, swap out the chicken for another protein you might have on hand (hello, leftovers!), or add in a dash of the cheese of your choice.
